Mission Statement

The mission of the Community Development Department is to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Douglas County by providing the highest quality and professional service in the areas of Building, Code Enforcement, Engineering, Planning, and Stormwater & Flood Management.

The Public Counter is located on the second floor of the Minden Inn in Room 202.
Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Community Development Department, which includes Building, Planning, Engineering and Code Enforcement, will be implementing new software as of Monday May 7, 2018. We will begin the transition to the new software on Friday May 4th. This will cause our public counter to be closed that Friday, please plan accordingly.
