What We Do

The Engineering Division is the reviewing agency on County Projects, Commercial Development Plans, Private Land Development and Public Works Projects. The Engineering Division is the issuing authority on:
  • Encroachment permits
  • Floodplain Development Review Applications
  • Performing construction inspections
  • Site Improvement Permits
  • Water and Sewer Connection Permits
The Engineering Division works closely with Developers, Businesses, Engineers, and other Agencies on Pollution Prevention, Stormwater Management and Low Impact Development.

  • Record Drawings and Engineering Plans
  • Site Specific Project Reports
  • Right of Way / Easement Information

To better assist the citizens of Douglas County with information on engineering related topics, the following form has been developed for your use. Sufficient staff time will be required in order to adequately provide accurate information on a property or development. Please complete and submit this form for any questions or concerns in relation to water and sewer service, storm drainage, flood zones, easements or roadways.
