Computers and Technology Internet Stations Internet terminals are available free of charge. These stations offer 60-minute sessions on a first-come, first-served basis. They may be used for up to 120 minutes per person per day. Please be considerate if others are waiting.
Internet terminals also offer the following Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Files may be printed; saved to USB flash drive or 3 ½ inch floppy disk; or emailed.
Printing: Printing costs $ .10 per page. Color printing is not available.
The library provides free Wi-Fi access during regular library hours. Ask at the front desk for the name and key code needed to connect. The wireless network shuts down 10 minutes before closing time.
Photocopying / Faxing / Scanning
The library has a public photocopier; copies cost $ .15 per page. Color copies are not available. Faxing and scanning services are not available at the Lake Tahoe Branch library.
Typewriter A typewriter is available for public use.
An Early Literacy Station features reading and math programs for ages 3 to 7 years.
A Student Learning Center computer offers educational programs for ages 6 to 12 years.
The software titles on these computers are carefully chosen for age appropriateness, educational and entertainment value, and ease of use.
