Community Center users of all ages enjoy a wide variety of healthy activities in the gym throughout the year. As dedicated sponsors of the scoreboards, Carson Valley Health encourages the community to participate in fun, enjoyable healthy pursuits. Their messages advocating for healthy lifestyle choices are prominently displayed on all eight scoreboards, visible to gym users of all ages, from youth to adults and families alike. Carson Valley Health, previously known as Carson Valley Medical Center, is a comprehensive community healthcare system, providing quality care to the residents of Carson Valley and surrounding areas. A partnership of Barton HealthCare System of South Lake Tahoe and Renown Health of Reno, Carson Valley Health is a non-profit, state accredited healthcare organization with a critical access hospital, emergency department, and outpatient/inpatient surgical services on its main campus in Gardnerville. They also have an additional five off-site primary care clinics, urgent care and a host of outpatient and complimentary services.

About the Douglas County Community Services Foundation
The Douglas County Community Services Foundation was formed in 2011 to support the community centers and senior centers in Douglas County, both Lake, Valley and South County. The Foundation’s main emphasis is to support the construction and ongoing capital and equipment needs of the Carson Valley Community and Senior Center, Kahle Community Center and the Topaz Ranch Estates Neighborhood Center in South County. The Foundation is a non-profit 501(C)(3) corporation intended to make improvements to the community and senior center as easily and efficiently as possible with the maximum amount of accountability. The Foundation acts as a liaison between the government of Douglas County and private donors to maximize and meet the private donor's needs.
